About Brian
Brian Bishop West was born and raised in the Moncks Corner area of Berkeley County. Brian graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. After College, Brian graduated from the Charleston School of Law, and thereafter, Brian began working as a judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable R. Markley Dennis, Jr., in the Ninth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina. After his clerkship, Brian founded his law practice in Moncks Corner, and has been serving the good people of Berkeley County and its surrounding areas ever since. Brian has a strong passion for people and for resolving their conflicts. He hopes to continue practicing law in Moncks Corner for many more years to come.
Family History
Brian’s connection to the practice of law spans three generations. Both of his grandfathers, H. Norman West, and George B. Bishop, established their law practices in Moncks Corner in 1945 and 1952 respectively. Both maintained their practice in Moncks Corner their entire life where they represented thousands of individuals each spanning over three decades. Norman’s and George’s sons, John West and George Bishop, Jr., continue to practice law in Moncks Corner today. Brian’s connection and love of the law is both natural and expected given his familial history. Brian is proud of his family heritage, and he seeks to continue representing both of his family names with honor and integrity.
